Our Team

Dr Julie is certified in mindfulness and as a yoga instructor with over 30 years of teaching experience.  Her doctorate in education leadership and personal mindfulness journey allows her to create a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.  Her years of practice as a mental health professional include outpatient therapy, biofeedback and relaxation therapy.

For the past 20 years, Dr Julie has worked in higher education with a focus on admissions, retention, human centered-AI supported education tech, and instruction. VP of Content Architecture & Solutions at Mainstay, a student engagement platform powered by behaviorally intelligent chatbots that has helped many colleges and organizations support student success at scale. 

In her role with Mainstay, Dr Julie is the VP of Product Strategy where she is driven to support students from the moment they consider applying for a college program through graduation day and into successful career paths.

She also has years of adjunct teaching experience at a variety of institutions including University of West Alabama and Harrisburg Area Community College. 

Julie is the designer of the Online Learner Advising Model which combines retention strategies from research on proactive advising, appreciative advising, and shame resilience.
